Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Description and Operation

ASCD BRAKE SWITCH





When depressing the brake pedal, ASCD brake switch is turned OFF and stop lamp switch is turned ON. ECM detects the state of the brake pedal by this two kinds of input (ON/OFF signal). Refer to ASCD function.

Consult-II Reference Value In Data Monitor Mode:

ECM receives vehicle speed signals via two different lines, and detects vehicle speed for ASCD control.

Vehicle speed signals are input from combination meter and TCM separately. Signal from TCM is sent via CAN communication line.
