IF YOU CONFIRM:

An Applied Vehicle built before the Date and VIN range above has a BOSE audio system and:

^ The left side speakers are inoperative.

DETERMINE IF:

The Audio Unit needs to be replaced.

ACTIONS:

^ Verify the incident.

^ If necessary, replace the Audio Unit with the part number listed in the Parts Information section of this bulletin.

Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding shown.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Verify the incident.

2. Write down the radio presets for later "reprogramming" back into the radio.

3. Close the sunroof and all windows.

4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

5. Replace the Audio Unit with the one from the Parts Information section of this bulletin. Refer to the "EL" section of the Electronic Service Manual for replacement procedures, if needed.

6. Re-connect the battery.

7. "Re-program" the radio presets you wrote down in step 2.
