Removal and Installation




WORK STEP
When removing instrument panel, combination meter, audio and display, navigator control unit and console assembly, take steps in the order shown by the numbers as shown.

CAUTION:
- Disconnect both battery cables in advance.
- Disconnect air bag system line in advance.
- Never tamper with or force air bag lid open, as this may adversely affect air bag performance.
- Be careful not to scratch pad and other parts.

KICKING PLATE (LH/RH)
Remove kicking plate(LH/RH).

FOOT REST
Remove foot rest.

DASH SIDE FINISHER (LH/RH)
1. Remove plastics nut.
2. Remove dash side finisher(LH/RH).

INSTRUMENT DRIVER PANEL LOWER
1. Remove screws.
2. Remove data link connector.
3. Pull to disengage metal clip by removing panel in horizontal direction.
4. Disconnect in-vehicle sensor and each electrical parts.




5. Remove the grommet, and remove hood lock cable.

STEERING COLUMN LOWER COVER
1. Remove screws.
2. Disengage the tab, remove only lower side. (Upper side is integrated in combination meter)




COMBINATION METER
After removing bolts, remove harness connector.

COMBINATION SWITCH
Remove bolts and remove combination switch.

CONSOLE FINISHER (A/T RING) (A/T)




1. Move selector lever to the drive position.
2. Insert a flat-bladed screwdriver wrapped with tape from behind console finisher (A/T ring) and remove by lifting.

SHIFT KNOB (M/T)
Remove shift knob with turning counterclockwise.

CONSOLE FINISHER (A/T)




1. Insert a thin flat-bladed screwdriver wrapped with tape from behind console finisher A/T, and remove metal clip on back. Then pull up and back to disengage from front metal clip.
2. Disconnect A/C harness connector, and remove console finisher.

NOTE: A/C controller is assembled in the console finisher (A/T). Therefore, when installing and removing be careful not to use excessive force, etc.

CONSOLE BOOT (M/T)
1. Insert a thin flat-bladed screwdriver wrapped with tape from behind console boot M/T, and remove metal clip on back. Then pull up and back to disengage from front metal clip.
2. Disconnect A/C harness connector, and remove console boot M/T.

NOTE: A/C controller is assembled in the console boot (M/T). Therefore, when installing and removing be careful not to use excessive force, etc.

CENTER CONSOLE
1. Remove screws.
2. Remove console sub-harness.
3. After removing, disassemble each parts.

NOTE: When removing console, be careful not to pull the harness.

INSTRUMENT PASSENGER PANEL LOWER




1. Remove cup holder.

NOTE: Slide a screwdriver wrapped with tape into the long slot, top of cup holed. Depress tab at end of slot while gently pulling cup holder out.

2. Remove screws and bolt.
3. Pull panel horizontally toward you and disengage from metal clip.

INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL
1. Remove screws.
2. Pull to the side, disconnect metal clips, and remove instrument side panel.

NAVI SWITCH / SWITCH MASK




1. Insert a screwdriver wrapped with tape into center square hole for instrument upper box pawl. Bend instrument upper box backward to create a front/back gap.
2. Insert another screwdriver wrapped with tape into the gap made in No. 1. Push up NAVI switch and switch mask, and remove.

NOTE: For NAVI switch, disconnect and remove harness connector.

UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP
Remove screws, and disconnect harness connector, and remove unified meter and A/C amp.

CLUSTER LID C
1. Remove screws.
2. Disconnect upper edge central pawl and metal clip.
3. Disconnect audio harness connector and pull out toward you.

CAUTION: Unit is heavy, so be careful not to pinch your fingers when working.

4. After remove cluster lid C and then remove triple meter, instrument panel and audio unit.

DISPLAY
Remove screws, and disconnect harness connector, and remove display.

FRONT PILLAR GARNISH
Pull to inside of vehicle, disconnect metal clips and remove front pillar garnish.

INSTRUMENT DRIVER PANEL UPPER
1. Remove screws.
2. Disconnect metal clips, then remove instrument driver panel upper.

INSTRUMENT PASSENGER PANEL UPPER
1. Remove screws.
2. Disconnect metal clips, then remove instrument passenger panel upper.

INSTRUMENT SIDE FINISHER (RH)
Using a screwdriver wrapped with tape, pry up and remove instrument side finisher. Disconnect from metal clip and pull toward you.

INSTRUMENT PANEL
Remove bolts, nut and screws, and remove instrument panel from passenger door opening portion.

Installation AIS000HZ
To install, reverse the removal procedure sequence. Assemble the following three parts carefully.

CONSOLE FINISHER (A/T)




1. Move selector lever to the drive position.
2. Bring console finisher (A/T) to front side and connect front section metal clip.
3. After confirming secure connection of front section metal clip, connect rear section metal clip.

NOTE: Insert securely to make sure there is on clearance of seam between lower section of cluster lid C and front section of center console.

CONSOLE BOOT (M/T)
1. Bring console boot (M/T) to front side and connect front section metal clip.
2. After confirming secure connection of front section metal clip, connect rear section metal clip.

NOTE:
Insert securely to make sure there is on clearance of seam between lower section of cluster lid C and front section of center console.

INSTRUMENT PASSENGER PANEL LOWER




After finishing work, check the lower clip from lower angle which the
clip is properly inserted.
