STOP LAMP SW
Is the above displayed in the self-diagnosis display items?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Inspection End
2. CONNECTOR INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the stop lamp switch connector E112 and VDC/TCS/ABS control unit connector and check the terminals for deformation, disconnection, looseness, and so on. If there is an error, repair or replace the terminal.
2. Securely reconnect the connectors.
3. Start engine.
4. Repeat pumping brake pedal carefully several times, then perform self-diagnosis again.
OK or NG
OK >> The connector terminal contact is loose, damaged, open or shorted.
NG >> GO TO 3.
3. STOP LAMP SWITCH INSPECTION
1. Turn off the ignition switch and disconnect the VDC/TCS/ABS control unit connector.
2. Check the voltage between the VDC/TCS/ABS control unit connector terminal 48 (P/L) and the ground.
48 (P/L) - Ground
Brake pedal depressed: Battery voltage (approximately 12 Volts)
Brake pedal not depressed: Approximately 0 Volts
OK or NG
OK >> Connect the connectors and conduct a VDC/TCS/ABS control unit self-diagnosis.
NG >> Open or short in harness. Repair or replace the harness.
