3) 26.5 - 31.4 Nm (2.7 - 3.2 kgf-cm, 20 - 23 ft. lbs)











Cylinder head tightening torque and sequence
1) 98.1 Nm (10.0 kgf-cm, 72 ft. lbs.)
2) 0 Nm (0.0 kgf-cm, 0 ft. lbs.)
3) 34.3-44.1 Nm (3.5-4 kgf-cm. 4,26-32 ft. lbs.)
4) 90° - 95° (angle tightening)
5) 90° - 95° (angle tightening)


Rocker Cover Bolt Sequence:





Rocker cover
1) 0.96 - 2.96 Nm (0.10 - 0.30 kgf-cm, 9 - 26 inch lbs.)
2) 7.33 - 9.33 Nm (0.75 - 0.95 kgf-cm, 65 - 82 inch lbs.)









Outer Diameter of Cylinder Head Bolts
Cylinder head bolts are tightened by using the plastic zone (Torque-to-yeild) tightening method. Whenever the size difference between d1 and d2 exceeds the limit, replace them with new ones.

- Subtract the head bolt diameter measurement taken at d2 from the head bolt diameter measurement taken at d1. If the difference between d1 and d2 exceeds the limit, replace the bolts with new ones.

Limit (d1 - d2)......................0.11 mm (0.0043 inch)

If reduction of outer diameter appears in a position other than d2, use it as d2 point.
