Convertible Top - 5th Bow Will Not Close: Overview

2004 350Z ROADSTER; 5TH BOW WILL NOT CLOSE

APPLIED VEHICLE:
2004 350Z Roadster (Z33)

IF YOU CONFIRM:
Both of the following symptoms:





^ The soft-top 5th bow stops in this position (see Figure 1) when closing, and:

^ Each time you press the power switch to the "Close" position the 5th bow will move a little (1 or 2 inches) towards the closed (down) position.

NOTE:
If the symptoms are not exactly as described above,,this bulletin does not apply. Use the ESM to check for other causes.

ACTIONS:

^ Lubricate the 5th bow lock assembly with Genuine Nissan Window Regulator Grease.

^ Twist the Auto-Closure Wire back into the Closure Motor.
