2005 ALTIMA; ROOF DRIP MOLDING LOOSE

APPLIED VEHICLE:
2005 Altima (L31)

IF YOU CONFIRM:





The left or right roof Drip Molding is separating from its retaining clips as shown in Figure 1.

ACTION:

Re-attach the molding to the clips using 3MTM Plastic Emblem & Trim Adhesive.

NOTE:
Do not replace the roof Drip Molding for this repair.

Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding shown.

SERVICE PROCEDURE





1. Clean the 6 retaining clips and the rear metal rib shown in Figure 2 with isopropyl alcohol.





2. Clean the back side of the molding with isopropyl alcohol, especially at the points that contact the retaining clips.





3. Clean the rear clip on the back side of the molding with isopropyl alcohol.





4. Apply a light coat of adhesive to the six retaining clips and the metal rib shown in Figure 5.





^ Use 3M(TM) Plastic Emblem & Trim Adhesive listed in the parts information.





5. Snap the Drip Molding back into place and hold pressure on it for 1 to 3 minutes.
