INTRODUCTION
Nissan has determined that some 2005 Altimas may have a tire vibration or ride harshness condition. To correct this condition, Nissan is conducting a service campaign to replace the tires on these vehicles. For all vehicles in this population (you must confirm using Service Comm) the tires (except spare) must be replaced.
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
Nissan has assigned identification number PB125 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign.
NUMBER OF VEHICLES POTENTIALLY AFFECTED
The number of vehicle potentially affected is 286.
DEALER RESPONSIBILITY
It is the Nissan dealer's responsibility to check Service Comm for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this Voluntary Service Campaign (PB125) that enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a Nissan dealer's inventory.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
^ When the customer calls for an appointment, identify the required tire and then check your local tire vendor to confirm availability.
^ Obtain replacement tires from your local tire vendor. Replacement tires will not be available through the PDCs.
^ Install the tires in your shop or have your local tire vendor install the tires and file a sublet claim.
^ The spare tire is not affected by this action.
IMPORTANT:
If you install the tires in your shop, make sure you destroy the old tires by cutting the bead (of each tire).
