Control Valve Assembly and AccumulatorsREMOVAL
1. Drain ATF from transaxle.
2. Remove oil pan using power tools, and gasket.
^ Do not reuse oil pan bolts.
3. Disconnect terminal cord assembly harness connector.
4. Remove stopper ring from terminal cord assembly harness terminal body.
5. Remove terminal cord assembly harness from transaxle case by pushing on terminal body.
6. Remove control valve assembly by removing bolts I, X and O. Bolt length, number and location are shown in the illustration.
NOTE: Be careful not to drop manual valve and servo release accumulator return spring.
7. Disassemble and inspect control valve assembly if necessary. Refer to "Control Valve Assembly".
8. Remove servo release and N-D accumulators by applying compressed air if necessary.
NOTE: Hold each piston with a rag.
INSTALLATION
^ Set manual shaft in Neutral, then align manual plate with groove in manual valve.
^ After installing control valve assembly, make sure that selector lever can be moved to all positions.
