SIDE OIL SEAL

Removal and Installation
REMOVAL





1. Remove the drive shaft from the transaxle case. Refer to "Removal and Installation".
2. Remove the oil seal with a slotted screwdriver as shown.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the transaxle case surface when removing the oil seal.

INSTALLATION





Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
^ Using Tool, drive the oil seal straight in until it protrudes from the transaxle case end equal to dimension "A" as shown.
Dimension "A": Within 0.5 mm (0.02 inch) or flush with the case.
Tool number: ST30720000 (J-25405)

CAUTION:
^ Before installing oil seal, apply multi-purpose grease to oil seal lips.
^ Do not reuse oil seal.
^ Check the transaxle oil level after installation. Refer to "Checking M/T Oil".
