The sunroof shade clip is loose or has become detached (see Figure 1).

ACTION:

Replace the clip with the one from the Parts Information section of this bulletin.

Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding table above.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Slide open the sunroof fully to the rear.

2. Remove the clip from the headliner area.





3. Add a 1.0 mm felt adhesive tape (60 mm x 20 mm) to sunroof plastic bracket. Make sure that the clipping hole is not covered.





4. Install the new shade clip to the sunroof plastic (black) front center edge. Make sure that is fits snugly so that no rattle noises can occur.

5. Add EPP adhesive black foam to the area of the shade clip to approve appearance.





^ The foam should be applied in the headliner cloth area behind the clip (shown here without clip for clarity).

^ The foam should be size:

70 mm x 15 mm x 15 mm.
