IF YOU CONFIRM

A popping-type noise and/or slight movement from the right front seat bottom seat cushion during turns:

ACTION

Remove the Seat Cushion Frame from the seat.

Replace the push-type star washers of the frame as shown in the Service Procedure of this bulletin.

NOTE:
Do not replace the entire Seat Cushion Frame of the seat for this incident, if it should occur.

PARTS INFORMATION

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove Seat Cushion Frame from the vehicle. Refer to section SE, SEAT Disassembly and Assembly in the 2009 370Z Electronic Service Manual.





NOTE:
Both the inner side AND outer side star washer being replaced in this procedure is shown.





3. Remove the original star washer from the inner side of frame with cutters or small flat-head screwdriver.

4a. Locate a pipe, socket, or similar tool with an internal dimension (ID) between 20 to 21 mm that can be used as a drift. Ensure size is such that it does not interfere with "legs of star washer (see Figure 4).





4b. Use tool to drive new star washer onto connector bar.





5. After drifting ensure star washer is fully seated against seat frame.

6. Perform steps 3 through 5 for the outer star washer.

7. Re-assemble vehicle in reverse order of disassembly.
