Service Procedure

NOTE:
^ For tail lamp/bulb replacement - do not remove the luggage side lower finisher.

^ Use this procedure to remove the left or right side finisher.

^ All of the photos in this Service Procedure are for the right side finisher. The left side is similar.

^ Use a plastic trim tool when removing/working with plastic panels, clips, and other plastic parts in this procedure.





1. Pull the rear seat cushion loose and slide it forward.





2. Snap loose/remove the kick plate.

3. Remove the rear seatback side as follows:





a. Remove the bolt.





b. Slide the seatback side up.

^ It is hooked on at the top.

c. Pull out to remove the seatback side.

4. Fold down the seatback.





5. Remove the bolts shown in Figure 5.

6. Remove the outboard seatback hinge.





^ It is held on with one bolt, shown in Figure 6.





7. Remove the luggage floor center board.





8. Remove the luggage floor spacer (spare tire cover).





9. Remove the rear door body welt up to the locations shown in Figure 9.





10. Remove/snap loose the striker cover plate.





11. Remove the plastic clips shown in Figure 11.





12. Remove the luggage rear plate.





13. Remove the 5 plastic clips shown in Figure 13.

14. CAREFULLY remove the luggage side lower finisher.





^ DO NOT pull or push on the lower carpeted area of the finisher. This area is attached to the finisher and will break if it is used for leverage.





NOTE:
When reinstalling the luggage side lower finisher, make sure the ridge on the finisher is behind the bracket (see Figure 15).
