IF YOU CONFIRM:





The left and / or right side cowl end trim (fender cover) is loose (see Figure 1 and 2).

ACTION:

Replace the incident fender cover(s).

^ For repair instructions, refer to the SERVICE PROCEDURE section of this bulletin.

^ Use the part(s) listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin.

Submit a Primary Part (PP) type line claim using the claims coding shown.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Remove the incident fender cover (cover) as follows.

NOTE:
Pictures show the left (driver) side cover. The procedure for the right (passenger) side cover is the same.





1. Using a suitable pry tool, pry the cover away from the windshield and upper cowl top cover as seen in Figure 3.

2. Finish removing the cover by carefully pulling it off the rest of the way (see Figure 3).

^ Grab and pull away where noted in Figure 3.

^ Unsnap the cover where it clips onto the cowl top cover and under the windshield where noted in Figure 3.





3. Remove any double-sided tape (tape) remaining on the windshield and fender (see Figure 4).

4. Clean these areas with 3M(TM) Adhesion Promoter or suitable cleaner.

^ 3M(TM) Adhesion Promoter is listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin.

5. With surfaces clean and dry, install the new cover.

^ Make sure the new cover clips (snaps) onto the cowl top cover and windshield (see Figure 3 for locations).





^ Make sure to press down on the cover where the tape is located underneath (see Figure 5).
