COMPRESSOR


Removal and Installation for Compressor






CAUTION: For installation, tighten the compressor bolts in the order as shown.

REMOVAL
1. Discharge the refrigerant. Service and Repair.
2. Partially drain the engine cooling system. Changing Engine Coolant.
3. Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals.
4. Remove the front RH wheel and tire using power tool. Adjustment.
5. Remove the engine undercover.
6. Remove the RH fender protector side cover and the RH fender protector. Removal And Installation.
7. Remove the engine room cover.
8. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air ducts. Service and Repair.
9. Remove the upper radiator hose.
10. Remove the battery and battery tray. Removal And Installation (Battery Tray).
11. Remove the engine cooling fan and shroud assembly. Removal And Installation.
12. Disconnect the high-pressure flexible hose and low-pressure flexible hose from the compressor.

CAUTION:
Cap or wrap the joint of the hose with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of any contaminants.
13. Reposition the power steering hose out of the way.
14. Disconnect the compressor connector.
15. Release the drive belt from the A/C pulley. Removal And Installation.
16. Remove the RH compressor bolts.
17. Remove the front compressor bolts using power tool.
18. Disconnect the compressor wire harness clip from the compressor.
19. Remove the compressor.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
- For installation, tighten the compressor bolts in the order as shown.
- Replace the O-rings on the low-pressure flexible hose and high-pressure flexible hose with new ones, then apply A/C oil to them for installation.
- After charging the A/C refrigerant, check for leaks. Checking Of Refrigerant Leaks.
