PARTS INFORMATION

CLAIMS INFORMATION

Refer to the current Nissan Warranty Flat Rate Manual and use the appropriate claims coding for repairs performed.

COMPONENT INSPECTION

NOTE:
Refer above for components location.

Thermal Electric Device (TED)

Measure Seat Cushion TED resistance across pin 1 (blue wire) and pin 2 (yellow wire) in connector B219. See Figure 1.

Measure Seatback TED resistance across pin 1 (blue wire) and pin 2 (yellow wire) in connector B218. See Figure 1.

NOTE:
Connectors B218 and B219, their pin locations, and wire coloring are identical.

^ Acceptable resistance value: 1.3 - 1.8 ohms.

^ Resistance value given at room temperature, or about 22°C / 72°F.

If resistance value is more or less than listed above, replace the TED.

Thermal Electric Device (TED) Sensor

Measure Seat Cushion TED sensor resistance across pin 3 (green wire) and pin 4 (also green wire) in connector B219. See Figure 2.

Measure Seatback TED sensor resistance across pin 3 (green wire) and pin 4 (also green wire) in connector B218. See Figure 2.

NOTE:
Connectors B218 and B219, their pin locations, and wire coloring are identical.

^ Acceptable resistance value: approximately 1000 ohms.

^ Resistance value given at room temperature, or about 22°C / 72°F.

If resistance value is more or less than listed above, replace the TED*

* The sensor is part of the TED. To replace the sensor, replace the TED.

Climate Controlled Seat Blower Motor

Check 1:

Measure blower motor resistance across pin 2 (red wire) and pin 4 (black wire). See Figure 3.

^ Acceptable resistance value: 600 - 800 ohms.

If resistance value is more or less than listed above, replace the blower motor.

If resistance value is acceptable, go to Check 2.

Check 2:

Measure blower motor resistance across pin 3 (white wire) and pin 4 (black wire). See Figure 4.

^ Acceptable resistance value: greater than 250000 (250K) ohms.

If resistance value is 250000 (250K) ohms or less, replace the blower motor.
