Keyfob Battery and Function Check

1.CHECK KEYFOB BATTERY
1. Remove keyfob battery. Keyfob Battery Replacement.





2. Measure voltage between battery positive and negative terminals, (+) and (-).

Voltage : 2.5 - 3.0V


NOTE:
Keyfob does not function if battery is not set correctly.
OK or NG
OK - GO TO 2.
NG - Replace battery.
2.CHECK KEYFOB FUNCTION
With CONSULT-III
Check keyfob function in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-III.






Without CONSULT-III





Check keyfob function using Remote Keyless Entry Tester J-43241.
OK or NG
OK - WITH CONSULT-III: Keyfob, remote keyless entry receiver and wiring harness between BCM and remote keyless entry receiver are OK. Replace BCM. Service and Repair.
OK - WITHOUT CONSULT-III: Keyfob is OK. Further inspection is necessary. Trouble Diagnosis Symptom Chart.
NG - WITH CONSULT-III: Further inspection is necessary. Trouble Diagnosis Symptom Chart.
NG - WITHOUT CONSULT-III: Replace keyfob. ID Code Entry Procedure.
