Audio System - Radio Stays On With Ignition Off

2007-2010 SENTRA; RADIO REMAINS ON AFTER IGNITION IS TURNED OFF
APPLIED VEHICLES: 2007-2010 Sentra (B16)
IF YOU CONFIRM
The radio remains ON after the ignition is turned OFF.
ACTION
1. Inspect the harness connectors - M11 and M9 - located at the bottom of the A-pillar on the passenger side for corrosion. See Figure 1 above for harness connector location.
2. Clean and repair the harness connector(s) as needed.
3. Apply one Harness Protector to the harness connectors.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Write down all radio station presets.
2. Disconnect both battery cables, negative cable first.
3. After disconnecting the battery cables, wait at least three minutes before proceeding with step 4.
4. Remove the lower dash side finisher.
a) Gently pull back the body side welt.
b) Release the finisher clips.
c) Lift up the kick plate and remove the finisher.
5. Inspect the harness connectors for corrosion.
NOTE:
If no corrosion is found, this bulletin does not apply. Refer to ASIST for further diagnosis.
6. Clean and/or repair the harness connector(s) as needed.
^ Use terminals/connectors as needed from the Harness Repair Kit Essential Special Service Tool (P/N J-48817).
NOTE:
The Harness Repair Kit User Guide - which includes detailed directions about connector service, wire splicing, and tool use - is located on the CONSULT-III PC desktop ("Harness_Repair_Kit.pdf). Refer to the NS Family section of this User Guide for information about connector M11, and the TK Family section for information about connector M9.
7. Apply the Harness Protector to the harness connectors.
a) Peel off the backing of the Harness Protector to expose the sticky side.
b) Position the Harness Protector so that it:
^ covers both of the harness connectors,
and
^ does not cover the body side welt.
c) Press down on the Harness Protector to ensure a good bond to the harness connectors.
8. Reinstall all parts in reverse order of removal.
9. Reconnect the battery cables, negative cable last.
10. Reset the radio station presets.
11. Reinitialize the power windows.
