INTRODUCTION

A certain limited number of 2010 Sentra vehicles were manufactured with an iPod(R) adaptor that may prevent the radio from recognizing when an iPod(R) is connected. To remedy this potential condition, Nissan is conducting this service campaign to replace the iPod(R) adaptor at no cost for parts or labor.

IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

Nissan has assigned identification number PM958 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign.

DEALER RESPONSIBILITY

Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer's inventory.

SERVICE PROCEDURE





1. Record the radio station presets:

2. Disconnect both battery cables (negative cable first).





3. Remove the three screws below the glove box.





4. Open the glove box and remove the latch striker (2 screws).





5. Carefully pull the trim above the glove box loose, but not completely off.





CAUTION:
^ The trim will stay in the position shown during this procedure.

^ Carefully perform the next steps so you don't damage the trim.

6. Remove the 2 screws behind the trim.

7. Carefully remove the glove box.





^ Pull the 4 clips loose (approximate location shown in Figure 5).

^ Push down on the top center of the glove box as you pull it out.





NOTE:
With the glove box removed, you can see the iPod(R) adaptor on the right "A" pillar.





8. Replace the iPod(R) adaptor.

9. Use paint to mark the old adaptor N/G and then discard the adaptor.

10. Reinstall all parts removed in reverse order.

11. Reconnect the battery cables, positive cable first.

12. Reset the clock and the radio station presets.

13. Reinitialize the power windows and the sunroof.
