VERSA HATCHBACK; BACK DOOR FINISHER LOWER REMOVAL

APPLIED VEHICLE: 2007-2010 Versa Hatchback (C11X)

SERVICE INFORMATION

If the back door finisher lower has to be removed for any reason, refer to REPAIR PROCEDURE starting below.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Open the back door (hatchback).

^ Have someone support the back door during the removal procedure.





2. Unsnap the eight (8) clips of the back door finisher lower (finisher) by pulling down on the top end (see Figure 1).

CAUTION:
Be careful not to pull down too far on the finisher. Pulling down too far may cause damage to the pawls.

NOTE:
See Figure 3 for clips and pawls location.

NOTE:
If needed, use a suitable trim removal tool when starting to pull down on the finisher (see Figure 1).





3. While holding the finisher, pound with moderate force on the bottom of the finisher with your fist where noted in Figure 2.








4. Unhook the finisher pawls, and then remove the finisher.
