UNEXPECTED PEDAL REACTION





Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK BRAKE PEDAL STROKE
Check brake pedal stroke. Inspection After Removal.
Is the stroke too large?
YES - - Bleed air from brake tube and hose. Service and Repair.
- Check brake pedal, brake booster, and master cylinder for mount play, looseness, brake system fluid leakage, etc.
- Brake fluid: Inspection.
- Brake pedal: Inspection After Removal.
- Brake master cylinder: Inspection.
- Brake booster: Inspection.
- Front disc brake: Inspection (2 piston type), Inspection (4 piston type).
- Rear disc brake: Inspection
(1 piston type), Inspection (2 piston type).
NO - GO TO 2.
2. CHECK FUNCTION
Disconnect ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector to deactivate ABS. Check if braking force is normal in this condition. Connect harness connector after inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Normal
NO - Check brake system.
