DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR WORK FLOW


Work Flow


DETAILED FLOW
1.LISTEN TO CUSTOMER COMPLAINT
Listen to customer complaint. (Get detailed information about the conditions and environment when the symptom occurs.)
- GO TO 2.
2.CHECK DTC
1. Check DTC.
2. Perform the following procedure if DTC is displayed.
- Record DTC and freeze frame data. (Print them out with CONSULT-III.)
- Erase DTC. ( On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System.)
- Study the relationship between the cause detected by DTC and the symptom described by the customer.
(Symptom Table is useful. Diagnosis Chart By Symptom.)
3. Check related service bulletins for information.

NOTE:
Freeze frame data is useful if the DTC is not detected.
Was any DTC detected?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - GO TO 4.
3.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE for the displayed DTC, and then make sure that DTC is detected again. ( Testing and Inspection below).
- GO TO 6.
4.VERIFY THE SYMPTOM WITH OPERATIONAL CHECK
Verify the symptom with Operational Check. .
- GO TO 5.
5.GO TO APPROPRIATE TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS
Go to appropriate trouble diagnosis ( Diagnosis Chart By Symptom below).
- GO TO 6.
6.REPAIR OR REPLACE
Repair or replace the specific parts
- GO TO 7.
7.FINAL CHECK
Final check.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Inspection End.
NO - GO TO 2.
