Description
Detect whether Intelligent Key is inserted.
Immobilizer antenna amp checks Intelligent Key transponder.




Component Function Check
1.CHECK FUNCTION
With CONSULT-III
Check KEY SW -SLOT in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-III.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Key slot is OK.
NO - SEE Diagnosis Procedure.




Diagnosis Procedure
Regarding Wiring Diagram information, [1][2]Electrical Diagrams.
1.CHECK KEY SLOT POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect key slot connector.





3. Check voltage between key slot connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2
NO - Repair or replace key slot power supply circuit.
2.CHECK KEY SLOT GROUND CIRCUIT





Check continuity between key slot connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3
NO - Repair or replace key slot ground circuit.
3.CHECK KEY SLOT CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect BCM connector.





2. Check continuity between BCM connector M18 (A) terminal 29, M19 (B) terminals 68, 69 and key slot connector M40 (C) terminals 2, 3, 11.





3. Check continuity between BCM connector M18 (A) terminal 29,
M19 (B) terminals 68, 69 and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4
NO - Repair or replace harness between BCM and key slot.
4.CHECK KEY SLOT
SEE Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 5
NO - Replace key slot.
5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Intermittent Incident.
- Inspection End.

Check key slot.





Is the inspection result normal?
OK - Inspection End.
NG - Replace key slot.
