60 40 Split Seatback

REAR SEAT

SEATBACK : Disassembly and Assembly - 60:40 Split Seatback


DISASSEMBLY






1.Press the release button (1) then lift the headrest out from the seatback (3).
2.Rotate the release knob (2) counterclockwise, then pull out from seatback cover and remove.





3.Release the J-hook channel (C), the clips (A), and the seat cover zippers (B).





4.Using a suitable tool, reach up through seatback cover and press up pawls as shown, then remove headrest holder from seatback.

CAUTION:
Before installing headrest holder check its orientation.
(front/rear and right/left)
5.Lift the seatback cover and seatback pad up together from seat frame assembly.

CAUTION:
Pull seatback cover and foam pad up slowly away from seat frame or the foam pad may get torn.





6.Remove the bolts (A), then remove the seatback latch assembly (1) from the seatback frame (2).
7.Remove hog rings, then separate the seatback trim and seatback pad.

CAUTION:
Before separating, check the installation position of hog rings.

ASSEMBLY

Assembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.

CAUTION:
- Check seatback cover and pad for damage. Replace with new part if necessary.





- Install hog rings (A) to specified position as shown in the figure.
