SERVICE INFORMATION

When adding engine oil (through the oil fill opening), quickly adding the engine oil can lead to oil entering the air intake duct via the clean air vent hose.

To avoid engine oil entering the air intake duct, remove the oil dipstick before adding oil to the engine.





If oil enters the air intake duct during oil fill, it can deposit onto the air cleaner element or be ingested into the combustion chamber during start up which could cause a temporary misfire and white/blue smoke from the exhaust.
