BATTERY DISCHARGED AFTER USING CONSULT III PLUS VI
APPLIED VEHICLE: 2013 Altima (L33)
2013 Pathfinder (R52)
SERVICE INFORMATION
After any diagnostic or reprogramming activity using the CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) Vehicle Interface (VI), the vehicle ignition must be cycled OFF => ON 5 seconds => OFF.
^ After disconnecting a VI from a vehicle, if the ignition is not cycled, there is a potential that the BCM will not go to "sleep" mode.
^ If the BCM does not "go to sleep", and the vehicle is not used for an extended time, the vehicle battery voltage will be drained causing a discharged battery and a no-start condition.
IMPORTANT:
After disconnecting the C-III plus VI, cycle the ignition:
OFF -> ON for at least 5 seconds -> OFF
