DTC DETECTION LOGIC







DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.Turn ignition ON.
2.Perform "All DTC Reading" with CONSULT.
3.Check if the "C1A39" is detected as the current malfunction in "Self Diagnostic Result" of "AVM".
Is "C1A39" detected as the current malfunction?
YES- Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure" MOD.
NO- Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK STRG SENSOR SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

Check if any DTC is detected in "Self Diagnostic Result" of "ABS".
Is any DTC detected?
YES- Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. Refer to
"DTC Index" Testing and Inspection.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK ALL UNIT SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

Check if any DTC is detected except for ITS control unit about ABS in "ALL DTC READING" with CONSULT.
Is any DTC detected except for ITS?
YES- Replace steering angle sensor. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
NO- Replace ITS control unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation ITS Control Unit" Removal And Installation - ITS Control Unit.
