FRONT SPEAKER

Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to "Wiring Diagram" With Display Audio.

1. CONNECTOR CHECK

Check the audio unit, Bose speaker amp. and speaker connectors for the following:
- Proper connection
- Damage
- Disconnected or loose terminals
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2
NO- Repair the terminals or connectors.

2. CHECK FRONT SPEAKER SIGNAL CIRCUIT CONTINUITY (BOSE SPEAKER AMP.)

1.Disconnect Bose speaker amp. connector B122 and suspect front speaker connector.
2.Check continuity between Bose speaker amp. connector B122 and suspect front speaker connector.





3.Check continuity between Bose speaker amp. connector B122 and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3
NO- Repair or replace harness or connectors.

3. CHECK FRONT SPEAKER SIGNAL (BOSE SPEAKER AMP.)

1.Connect Bose speaker amp. connector B122 and suspect front speaker connector.
2.Turn ignition switch to ACC.
3.Push audio unit POWER switch.
4.Check signal between Bose speaker amp. connector B122 and ground.










Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace front speaker. Refer to "Removal and Installation" With Display Audio.
NO- GO TO 4

4. CHECK FRONT SPEAKER SIGNAL CIRCUIT CONTINUITY (AUDIO UNIT)

1.Turn ignition switch to OFF.
2.Disconnect Bose speaker amp. connector B121 and audio unit connector M45.
3.Check continuity between Bose speaker amp. connector B121 and audio unit connector M45.





4.Check continuity between Bose speaker amp. connector B121 and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 5
NO- Repair or replace harness or connectors.

5. CHECK FRONT SPEAKER SIGNAL (AUDIO UNIT)

1.Connect Bose speaker amp. connector B121 and audio unit connector M45.
2.Turn ignition switch to ACC.
3.Push audio unit POWER switch.
4.Check signal between audio unit connector M45 and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace Bose speaker amp. Refer to "Removal and Installation" With Display Audio.
NO- Replace audio unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation" With Display Audio.
