IF YOU CONFIRM
A squeal/squeak noise is coming from the rear brakes:

^ When the brakes are either hot (after 10-15 minutes of driving) or cold (after vehicle has not been driven for 2-3 hours),

^ while moving forward or in reverse,

^ at speeds less than 10 MPH,

^ while traveling straight, AND

^ with light to moderate brake application (pedal pressure).

NOTE:
These are the typical conditions in which to duplicate the rear brake squeal/squeak; however, these conditions are not intended to detail all of the possible conditions in which the noise may occur. When attempting to duplicate this noise it is important to have a second person safely standing outside of the vehicle to determine if the noise is coming from the front or rear brakes.

ACTION
Replace the rear brake pads and the rear brake hardware kit with the parts listed in the Parts Information section of this bulletin.

^ Refer to the BR section in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for removal and installation information.
