DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (AUDIO UNIT)

On Board Diagnosis Function


ON BOARD DIAGNOSIS ITEM

Self-diagnosis mode can check the following items.
- Display all icons and segments
- Audio unit hardware/software/CD mechanism/EEPROM versions
- Audio CD changer version

METHOD OF STARTING

1.Turn ignition switch to the ON position.
2.Turn the audio unit OFF.





3.While pressing the "1" button, turn the volume control dial clockwise or counterclockwise 30 clicks or more. When the self-diagnosis mode is started, a short beep will be heard.





4.Initially, all display segments will be illuminated.





5.Press the "DISP TEXT" switch to enter version diagnostics.
"Soft" (audio software version) is displayed.





6.Press the "DISP TEXT" switch again to display the "Hard" (audio hardware version).





7.Press the "DISP TEXT" switch again to display the "CD Mech"
(CD mechanism version).





8.Press the "DISP TEXT" switch again to display the "EEP" (audio unit EEPROM version).





9.Press the "DISP TEXT" switch again to display the "CHG" (audio
CD changer version). If audio CD changer is not connected, "FFFFFF" is displayed.
Finishing Self-diagnosis Mode
Self-diagnosis Mode is canceled when the ignition switch is turned OFF.
