REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR

Removal and Installation


CAUTION:
Perform oil return operation before each refrigeration system disassembly. However, if a large amount of refrigerant or oil is detected, do not perform oil return operation. Refer to "Perform Oil Return Operation" Perform Oil Return Operation.

REMOVAL

1.Use refrigerant collecting equipment (for HFC-134a) to discharge the refrigerant. Refer to "Recycle Refrigerant" Recycle Refrigerant.
2.Clean refrigerant pressure sensor and its surrounding area and remove dust and rust from refrigerant pressure sensor.

CAUTION:
Be sure to clean carefully.
3.Disconnect the harness connector from the refrigerant pressure sensor.
4.Remove the refrigerant pressure sensor.

CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage liquid tank.
- Be careful not to damage core surface of condenser.
- Cap or wrap the joint of the condenser and liquid tank with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
- Do not reuse O-rings.
- Apply A/C oil to the O-rings of the high-pressure pipe and refrigerant pressure sensor for installation.
- After charging the A/C refrigerant, check for leaks. Refer to "Leak Test" Leak Test.
