Owners of some 1991-92 Bravadas equipped with a 4.3L (VIN W, Z) engine may experience higher than normal fan noise upon cold start up. This condition may be due to incorrect engagement of the fan clutch. The condition may be corrected by installing a revised fan clutch, P/N 15672779 which is currently available from GMSPO.

Bravadas built after vehicle number 1GHDT13W4N2704092 have the new fan clutch installed in production.

Refer to section 6B1 "FAN/FAN CLUTCH REPLACEMENT" in the 1991-92 Bravada Service Manual for removal and installation of the fan clutch.

Important:

To maintain a balanced fan assembly, align the yellow paint mark on the fan clutch with the yellow paint mark on the water pump hub.
