Component Tests and General Diagnostics
1. Check LPS Fuse by noting normal operation of other Illumination Lamps.2. Check TAIL Fuse by noting normal operation of the Marker Lamps, but do not remove the fuse.
3. Check PWR ACCY Circuit Breaker by noting normal operation of either the Power Seats or the Power Door Locks.
4. Check GAUGES/AC Fuse by noting normal operation of the Instrument Cluster.
5. Check Turn B/U Fuse by noting normal operation of the Turn Flashers.
6. Keep bright light away from the optical sensor when servicing the vehicle (bright light could cause the system to lose track of where it is at).
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (refer to General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
^ Refer to System Diagnosis.
