Hood Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open and support the hood.
2. Install protective coverings over the fenders.
3. Remove the right and the left air inlet grille panels.
4. Disconnect the wire from the under hood lamp, if equipped.
5. Remove the windshield washer nozzles.




6. Remove the hood hinge from the attaching bolts and the nuts.
With an Assistant, remove the hood from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. With an Assistant, install the hood to the vehicle.
Install the hood hinge attaching bolts and the nuts.

Tighten the hood hinge attaching bolts and the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

2. Install the windshield washer nozzles.
3. Connect the wire to the under hood lamp, if equipped.
4. Install the right and the left air inlet grille panels.
5. Close the hood.
