Electronic Column Lock Module

Electronic Column Lock Module - Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift)





1. Remove the turn signal cancel cam, bearing thrust washer. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Bearing Thrust Washer- Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
2. Remove the connector (2) from the electric park lock (1).





3. Pry the electric park lock (2) off of the electronic lock module assembly (1).





4. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the electronic lock module assembly (2) in the following way:
4.1. Rotate the key alarm connector (1) 90 degrees.
4.2. Pull the key alarm connector (1) out of the electronic lock module assembly (2).
4.3. Remove the passkey connector from the electronic lock module assembly (2).





5. Slide the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (2) out of the electronic lock module assembly (1) by releasing the tabs.
6. Let the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (2) hang freely.





7. Remove the 3 pan head tapping screws (1) from the electronic lock module assembly (2)

Important: The lock bolt assembly (4) is under slight spring tension from the lock bolt spring (3). Hold the lock bolt (4) in place while removing the electronic lock module assembly (2).

8. Remove the electronic lock module assembly (2) and the lock bolt assembly (4) from the steering column housing assembly (5).
9. Remove the lock bolt spring (3) from the lock bolt assembly (4).

Assemble





1. Install the lock bolt spring (3) into the steering column housing assembly (5).
2. Position the cutout in the lock bolt assembly (4) at the 6 o'clock position.
3. Install the lock bolt assembly (4) into the steering column housing assembly (5).
4. Push the lock bolt assembly (4) into the steering column housing assembly (5) until the lock bolt assembly (4) is flush with the steering column housing assembly (5).
5. Align the electronic lock module assembly (2) with the steering column housing assembly (5). Install the electronic lock module assembly (2) onto the steering column housing assembly (5).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

6. Screw the 3 pan head tapping screws (1) into the electronic lock module assembly (2).
Tighten
Tighten the 3 pan head tapping screws to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).





7. Slide the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (3) into the electronic lock module assembly (1).





8. Snap the electric park lock (2) onto the electronic lock module assembly (1).





9. Reconnect the connector (2) to the electric park lock (1).





10. Install the key alarm connector (1) onto the electronic lock module assembly (2) in the following way:
10.1. Push the key alarm connector (1) into the electronic lock module assembly (2).
10.2. Rotate the key alarm connector (1) 90 degrees so that the key alarm connector locks into place.
10.3. Install the passkey connector into electronic lock module assembly (2).
11. Install the turn signal cancel cam, bearing thrust washer. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Bearing Thrust Washer - Assemble - Off Vehicle.
