Heater Door Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the HVAC module assembly.
2. Remove the mode actuator.
3. Remove the mode linkage from the defrost, mode and heater doors.
4. Remove the recirculation housing retaining screws.
5. Remove the recirculation housing.
6. Remove the right HVAC module assembly mounting bracket screws.
7. Remove the right HVAC module assembly mounting bracket.
8. Remove the HVAC module assembly upper mounting screw.




9. Remove the HVAC module assembly lower mounting screws.
10. Separate the upper and lower HVAC module halves.




11. Remove the heater door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater door.




2. Align and install the upper HVAC module case to the lower HVAC module case.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the HVAC module lower mounting screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

4. Install the HVAC module upper mounting screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

5. Install the right HVAC module mounting bracket to the HVAC module assembly.
6. Install the right HVAC module mounting screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in).




7. Install the recirculation housing.
8. Install the recirculation housing retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

9. Install the mode linkage to the defrost, mode and heater doors.
10. Install the mode actuator.
11. Install the mode actuator screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

12. Install the HVAC module assembly.
