Recirculation Door Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the upper IP. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
2. Remove the IP compartment.
3. Remove the HVAC passenger compartment air filters.
4. Disconnect the recirculation actuator electrical connector.
5. Remove the top recirculation housing retaining screws.
6. Remove the side recirculation housing retaining screws.
7. Remove the recirculation housing from the HVAC module assembly.




8. Remove the screws retaining the recirculation housing halves.




9. Separate the recirculation housing halves.
10. Remove the recirculation door from the recirculation housing.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the recirculation door to the the recirculation housing.




2. Align the recirculation door with the other half of the recirculation housing.
3. Connect the recirculation housing halves.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the screws retaining the recirculation housing halves.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).




5. Install the recirculation housing to the HVAC module assembly.
6. Install the recirculation housing screws.

Tighten
Tighten the recirculation housing screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

7. Install the defroster air outlet duct.
8. Connect the recirculation actuator electrical connector.
9. Install the HVAC passenger compartment air filters.
10. Install the IP compartment.
11. Install the upper IP. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
