Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble

- J41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture





1. Install the trim cover protector (1) to the lower trim cover (2).





2. Install the upper trim cover (2) onto the column.
3. Slide the shift lever seal down the shift lever and install into the upper trim covers (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Secure the upper trim cover (2) using the TORX (R) head screw (1).
- Tighten the screw to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).





5. Install the lower trim cover (2) and secure by using the 2 pan head tapping screws (1). Adjust the shift lever seal into the trim cover.
- Tighten the screws to 3.5 Nm (31 inch lbs.).





6. Take the column out from the J41352.
7. Remove the top piece of J41352 from the steering column.
8. Remove J41352 from the vise.
