Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair
AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor through the lower control arm.
3. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor from the compressor hose block.
4. Remove and discard the O-ring seal from the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the new O-ring seat.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor to the compressor hose block.
Tighten
Tighten the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor to 4.8 N.m (42 lb in).
3. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
4. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A.
5. Lower the vehicle.
