Lubricant Change

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the fill plug.





3. Remove the drain plug and the washer.
4. Drain the fluid from the differential carrier assembly.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the drain plug and the washer.
^ Tighten the drain plug to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
2. Fill the differential carrier assembly with lubricant. Use the proper fluid.





3. Install the fill plug.
^ Tighten the fill plug to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
4. Lower the vehicle.
