Window Replacement - Midgate

Removal Procedure

1. Lower the window into the mid gate.
2. Remove the mid gate inner panel.




3. Release the mid gate latches, opening the mid gate until the holes in the hinge assembly are aligned.
4. Install 5 mm (0.196 in) pins (2) or allen wrench through the holes in each hinge (1) to support the mid gate.
5. Remove the mid gate window outer sealing strip.




6. Remove the bolts retaining the mid gate window to the window regulator.
7. Remove the mid gate window out through the top of the mid gate assembly.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the mid gate window into the mid gate though top of the mid gate assembly.
Ensure the window is engaged into the window run channels.
2. Lower the window onto the window regulator assembly.
3. Install the bolts retaining the mid gate window to the window regulator until they are finger tight.
4. Install the mid gate window outer sealing strip.




5. Remove the pins (2) from the mid gate hinges (1) supporting the mid gate.
6. Close the mid gate.
7. Operate the mid gate window until the window is fully closed and engaged in the mid gate weatherstrip.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

8. Complete tightening of the bolts retaining the mid gate window to the window regulator.

Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

9. Install the mid gate inner panel.
