1. Remove hub and bearing assembly.
2. Clean area surrounding sensor housing/interface area.
3. Remove Torx type screws securing sensor, then the sensor, Fig. 84. Do not allow dirt or other contaminants to enter sensor housing.
4. Do not add lubricant to bearing through sensor housing opening. This bearing is lubricated for life of vehicle.
5. Do not clean grease from toothed sensor ring. Grease does not affect operation of sensor.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure O-ring is not torn or missing.
b. Torque Torx screws to 33 inch lbs.
c. Align rear wheel speed sensor as shown in Fig. 85.
