Engine - New Crankshaft Pulley Key

83peugeot02

Bulletin No. 127

Date : October, 1983
Subject: INSTALLATION OF CRANKSHAFT PULLEY ON DIESEL ENGINES

Note: Supplement to Service Bulletin No. 083

Starting with February 1982 production, all diesel engines are equipped with a crankshaft pulley key incorporating four (4) retaining indentations.
Note: The new key maintains the same N.P.D. Part Number (6976.06) and it is the only part supplied for replacement purposes.

Whenever the removal of a crankshaft pulley is required on vehicles manufactured prior to February 1982, the new type key should be installed to insure against improper positioning of the crankshaft key during installation of the pulley.

The installation procedure remains the same. Refer to Service Bulletin No. 083.
