Wheels - Rim and Hub Cap Change

Subject: 1983 WHEEL RIM AND HUB CAP


As announced in Class 15 Service Bulletins pertaining to 1983 model year changes, the base 505 models (non "S") and the 504 diesel station wagon models now use the same wheel rim, hub cap and lug nuts.

Retaining cup 5415.51 16
Retaining spring 5415.42 16


The hub cap can only be removed after removal of the lug nuts. The spring P.N. 5415.42 maintains pressure against the inner shoulder of the lug nuts 5405.33. The cups 5415.51 are fitted to the hub cap and are slotted to keep the retaining springs with the hub cap.

Note: When installing the hub cap, ensure that the slot for the air valve is aligned with the air valve on the wheel rim.
