The thermo-time switch limits the time that the cold start injector operates according to engine temperature as shown in Fig. 10.

1. Remove thermo-time switch.
2. Set up test as in Fig. 11. Connect test harness 8.0141 BH to thermo-time switch and use black lead (a) to connect switch to test light. Use jumper to connect switch body to negative battery terminal.
3. With water temperature below 86°F, test light should light.
4. Heat water gradually to raise temperature and note temperature at which light goes out. Light should go out between 86 and 104°F. If not, replace switch.
