Subject: ROOF RACK RETENTION - P/N 02.35


The 1-1/2 10 x 24 Phillips screws for the 4 rail adapters in the Peugeot roof rack kit P/N 02.35 may tighten with only 1-1/2 turns in some cases.

Accordingly, these screws have been lengthened to 5/8".

Open up any of these roof rack kits in your possession and install 4 of the longer screws. Remove the 1/2" screws and discard them.

Roof racks shipped by our parts depots after 8/2/85 will contain the longer length screws.

Roof racks installed by your dealership prior to this bulletin should be checked for sufficient thread length and replaced as necessary.

Should you require additional 5/8" - 10 x 24 Pan Head screws, they are available from the National Parts Department free-ofcharge under P/N 12.60.
