Fuel Injection Cut-Out on Deceleration
Fig. 27 Thermocontact switches:
1. Start the engine.
2. If the engine is cold (coolant temperature below 40°C), disconnect one of the wires on the 40°C thermocontact (M861), Fig. 27.
Fig. 28 Fuel injection cut-out on decel electrovalve:
3. Accelerate to 1800 RPM then release throttle, electrovalve (M333), Fig. 28, operation must be audible.
4. If correct, reconnect the wire on thermocontact (M861).
5. If incorrect, check the power supply to the electrovalve as follows:
a. Disconnect the electrovalve connector (1), Fig. 28.
b. Connect a voltmeter to the terminals of the connector.
c. With engine running, accelerate to 1800 RPM then release throttle.
d. If voltage decreases from 12 volts to 0, check the pneumatic circuit. If connection is correct, replace the electrovalve (M333).
e. If voltage remains at 0 volt:
f. Check the electrical connection.

g. Check, Fig. 30, the adjustment and condition of microswitch (M242) and the twin speed relay operation (M772).
i. If correct, replace the tachymetric relay (M746), Fig. 30.
