Keyless entry - Remote Transmitter Battery Replacement

SUBJECT: BATTERY REPLACEMENT FOR INFRA-RED REMOTE LOCKING SYSTEM TRANSMITTER "PLIP"

Should the transmitter fail to operate and it is determined that battery replacement is required (pilot light fails to light when switch is depressed) the following procedure should be used:



With a small screwdriver carefully depress one of the lock tabs, pushing up on it at the same time. Once this tab is free, repeat this process on the other tab and remove cover.


Taking care not to damage the retaining tabs, remove the batteries from the cover. The inside of the cover is marked + and -.


Pop the new batteries in ensuring that the proper polarity is maintained (+ to +, - to -).


Reinstall cover snapping first one and then the other locking tab in place. Be careful in reinstalling the cover as it can be put on upside down.
Battery replacement type is Varta V13GA.
