Checking the Air Flow Sensor

1. Remove the air inlet boot to gain access to the air flow sensor plate.
2. Check the centering of the plate at four different points using a 0.10 mm (0.004 inch) feeler gauge.
3. If plate is not centered, loosen the screw and center the air flow sensor plate, tightening the bolt to 5.0 Nm (3.63 ft.lbs.)
4. Check the air flow sensor plate in the rest position. The upper face of the sensor plate must be level with the beginning of the funnel, or slightly below it (maximum drop is 0.5 mm).

5. If necessary, the blade position may be modified by bending the spring retaining clip (6),Fig. 14.
NOTE: The sensor plate must be mounted with the markings facing up. Either five punch marks or "TOP" will appear on the upper face.
