1. Remove the thermotime switch.
2. Make a test hook up Fig. 23, by connecting test harness (-).0141BH on the thermotime switch and use the black lead (a) to connect the switch to the test lamp. Use a jumper lead to connect the body of the switch to the battery negative terminal.
3. With the water temperature in the testing container below 30°C, the test lamp should light.
4. Heat the container progressively in order to raise the temperature and note the temperature where the test lamp goes off.
5. For a thermotime switch in good condition the temperature range should be between 30°C and 40°C.
6. If the test lamp does not operate as outlined above, replace the thermotime switch.
